In addition to taking small actions to care for the environment in your daily life, such as recycling or buying in bulk, you can also give a second life to objects that would otherwise end up in the trash.
Reusing is one of the keys to avoiding the massive generation of waste and thus contributing to the much-needed circular economy. That's why today we want to show you some ideas for reusing the plastic utensils you use every day. Don't miss these fun and original plastic crafts, because you're going to love them and have a great time making them—guaranteed! Oh! And don't worry, they're super easy; you don't need to be a crafty person to make them look amazing.
Crafts with Plastic Bottle Caps
Trivets
Plastic bottle caps are perfect for making a fun and original trivet.
To do this, you simply need to gather a few dozen (depending on the size you want your trivet to be, you will need to gather more or less, obviously) and glue the sides of them together using clear silicone or some other special glue.
This is a very versatile plastic craft because, depending on how you glue them, you can make round, square, or oblong trivets… endless possibilities! Plus, you can paint them in different colors to give them a special touch.
Flower-shaped photo/card holder
You're going to love this option because, besides being pretty, it's very versatile. It consists of joining five bottle caps with silicone to form the petals of a flower, gluing one on top in the middle, and attaching it with wire (which you can glue to the back with silicone) to another bottle cap that serves as the base, as shown in the photo.
Paint them in the colors you like and, using a craft knife, make a small slit at the top of one of the petals so you can insert the edge of a card or photograph.
It's perfect for decorating any room or for placing on the tables at your celebrations, surprising your guests with a small card with their name to indicate where they should sit.

Mirror
With plastic bottle caps, you can even make a mirror! Or rather, decorate it, but with how pretty it looks, don't tell us you don't want to make one. It's also very simple: buy a piece of glass at a glass shop or repurpose an old mirror you have at home (this second option is best to make it a 100% eco-friendly craft) and glue the bottle caps onto the frame. Color them, alternating two or three colors to make it look much nicer.
You never imagined that plastic bottle caps could be so versatile, did you? Well, now let's see what crafts you can make with plastic bottles. They're just as good as the ones we've already shown you!
The result of this craft couldn't be more original. Place the bottle horizontally and cut a piece of plastic to create a hole for soil. Plant some seeds of your favorite plant and tie a wire or string to both ends so you can hang it on the wall. To tie it, you can make a small incision on each side and pass the end of the rope through. We recommend doing this on an empty wall, because the more bottles you put in your vertical garden, the more spectacular it will be. Order is vital to feeling comfortable in our home, just ask Marie Kondo! And one of the ways to achieve this is to place baskets on shelves and put all your things inside them. This way, visually, there won't be so many items on display, and everything will be more organized.Crafts with large plastic bottles

Basket
You can make your own baskets from plastic bottles. To do this, you simply have to cut the top of the bottle lower or higher depending on the depth you want your basket to be. Sand the edges so there are no imperfections, and now for the fun part: decorating it! We suggest you get some jute twine and wrap it around the jug using silicone. The effect is very minimalist yet rustic and cozy, very much in line with current trends.
Bowling
This craft using small plastic bottles will delight the little ones in the house (although not as much as these perfumes for children). It's also so easythat they can do it all by themselves without your help. You just have to fill old plastic bottles with sand, soil, or rice; Close them, color them, and decorate them however you like (as always, this is the most fun part and where you can let your imagination run wild). Now all that's left is to line them up, grab a ball… and let the games begin! You can also make crafts with plastic cups and plates, such as wall decorations or cupcake trays, like the one shown in the photo. Pretty cool, right?
