Homemade refreshing drinks: quench your thirst!
Summer is synonymous with suffocating heat, scorching sun on the skin, more sought-after shades than the 2.55 bag… But to most mortals, we love it! It is one of the happiest times of the year, in which the positive energy it is everywhere.
Of course, to enjoy it to the fullest, you have to be very cool and hydrated. Therefore, today we bring you a list of homemade refreshing drinks that you can make quickly and comfortably at home.
Refreshing drinks without alcohol
Lemonade
If there is a refreshing homemade drink par excellence, that is the lemonade. The queen of summer drinks since the world is the world, thanks to how good it is and how easy it is to prepare. Have you never done it? Well, don't let another second pass!
To make it you need very few ingredients: 2 lemons, 1 lime, 8 glasses of cold water, ice cubes or crushed ice and sugar to taste.
Once you have them, squeeze the juice of the lemons and the lime, mix it with half the water and the sugar (or if you are a fit person of those who train daily, you can use another type of sweetener). Pass the mixture through a strainer and add the rest of the water. This will leave an ultra liquid texture without lumps. Now you just have to add a lot of ice, and enjoy it!
Multi-fruit juice
This is one of the most refreshing and healthy drinks you can make. And it is that it only has fruit (and a little honey, which never hurts to sweeten our lives a little).
To make it, you need: six oranges, two apples, two pineapple slices and a lemon. Juice the apples, remove the skin and the core of the apples and blend them together with the pineapple slices, squeeze the lemon and add a little of its previously grated skin to give it a special touch. Mix everything in a blender or blender and add ice.
The honey or sugar is completely optional, since the glucose in the fruit works as a natural sweetener. So if you dare to add absolutely nothing but fruit, all the better!
Watermelon juice
Watermelon is one of the queen fruits of summer, so our list could not miss a refreshing homemade drink that had it as the protagonist.
It is ideal since it is one of the fruits that carries more water so it quenches your thirst like no other. In addition, it is so easy to do that in just five minutes you will have it ready.
To make it, you need: half a kilo of watermelon, half a lemon, ice cubes and a little sugar. Once you have all the ingredients you just have to remove the seeds from the watermelon, cut it into pieces and put them in a blender. Add water and the juice of half a lemon. Beat until you get a homogeneous mixture. Put the mixture in the fridge before serving, so that it is even colder. Absolutely delicious!
Carrot juice
Carrot is rich in beta-carotene, a precursor to vitamin A, which is essential for skin and eye health. Therefore, this vegetable is the best companion you can have this summer (especially if you like get tan).
Have you wanted to try it, right? To do this you only need 4 carrots, water and 1 lemon and a little sugar (totally optional because it is so good that it is not necessary). To prepare it, wash and peel the carrots, blend them, add the water and lemon juice, and that's it! That easy.
Refreshing drinks with alcohol
If you organize a special dinner at home, the best thing you can do to finish it off and surprise your guests is to offer them one of these refreshing drinks with alcohol as the final cocktail.
Banana Daiquiri
In just 15 minutes you can have this original cocktail made, worthy of the most chic cocktail bar in your city.
To do this, collect 200 ml. of white rum, 100 ml. of maraschino (it is a liqueur of bitter black cherries and honey), 100 ml. lemon juice, 1 peeled and chopped banana; 1 tablespoon and a half of icing sugar and lots of ice cubes.
Once you have all the ingredients, it is time to prepare it, but it is very simple! You just have to put everything in a blender until you get a homogeneous mixture.
Sangria
Drink originally from Spain that has captivated the whole world. Refreshing and delicious, to make it you will need: 1 bottle of red wine, 2 oranges and 2 lemons; 4 peaches (if it is not in season they can be substituted for apples), 3 tablespoons of sugar; soda or Cointreau (both are optional) and finally ice.
Pour the bottle of wine into a jug full of ice (the colder the sangria, the better it will be). Add the juice squeezed from the oranges and lemons, the cointreau, the soda, the sugar and the peaches cut into pieces.
Mojito
We could not finish this list without mentioning the quintessential summer cocktail, the most requested refreshing alcoholic drink in the world: the mojito.
To make it you need white rum, brown sugar, limes, spearmint leaves and soda. And of course a lot, a lot of crushed ice!
The mojito has a somewhat different preparation from the rest of the homemade refreshing drinks that we have taught you previously. And it is that the ideal is to prepare glass by glass. We explain ourselves: Put a little brown sugar, mint leaves and a piece of lime in a glass. Crush and mix everything with a mortar until the sugar dissolves. Stir in the crushed ice and add the rum and soda. Finally, decorate the glass with pieces of lime and mint for even more flavor. It is incredible! We don't know anyone who doesn't like mojito.
